This policy explains what Tree Host collects when you use Tree Host and what we do with it.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Only the providers we need to run the Service: our sign-in and data storage provider, our payment processor, our email provider (service emails), and the company that hosts our servers. Email support@treehost.online for the current list of providers, or for our data processing agreement (DPA) if you run a business or community that needs one. They may only use it to provide their service to us. We may also share data when the law requires it.
We use cookies to keep you signed in (to each account you add to the account switcher) and one that recognises your browser, which links accounts used together so our rules apply to all of them. Our sign-in provider keeps your sign-in in your browser's storage. We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
Your account data is kept while you have an account. Servers of ended plans are deleted 14 days after the plan ends. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. If our team takes action because of a broken rule (a warning, suspension, ban or deletion), we keep a record of it, with the reason and evidence, for up to 3 years, so we can handle appeals, disputes and repeat abuse. When you buy a plan we keep a record of what you agreed to at checkout (the time, your IP address and browser, the price and the renewal terms) for 3 years after the plan ends, as auto-renewal laws require.
You can see and change your account details in the dashboard. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by contacting us. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California) you may have more rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to a data protection authority.
Tree Host is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. When you sign up we ask for the year you were born and refuse accounts for anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it. You must be 18, or have a parent or guardian who pays, to buy a plan. If you are under the age where you can agree to this policy yourself where you live, a parent or guardian must agree for you.
